Method
- Toast the sourdough bread until lightly golden and crisp.
- Spread marinara sauce evenly over the toast (avoid overloading).
- Add cottage cheese and gently spread into an even layer.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
- Add pepperoni slices evenly across the surface.
- Place in air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted and slightly golden.
- Remove and immediately sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
- Drizzle with hot honey and finish with fresh oregano or basil.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- If your cottage cheese is watery, drain it slightly before using.
- Keep an eye on the toast during the last few minutes - air fryers vary.
- You can substitute marinara with a quick mix of tomato sauce + dried oregano + garlic + black pepper if needed.
