Method
- Toast the sourdough until lightly golden.
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add mushrooms, salt, pepper, and thyme; cook 6–8 minutes.
- Add balsamic vinegar and cook 1–2 minutes more.
- Layer toast with mozzarella, half of Parmesan, mushrooms, then remaining Parmesan.
- Bake at 400°F for 5–7 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with thyme and enjoy warm.
