Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 garlic clove thinly sliced
  • 2 cups baby Bella mushrooms sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 fresh mozzarella ball sliced
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese shredded (divided)
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Toast the sourdough until lightly golden.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add mushrooms, salt, pepper, and thyme; cook 6–8 minutes.
  4. Add balsamic vinegar and cook 1–2 minutes more.
  5. Layer toast with mozzarella, half of Parmesan, mushrooms, then remaining Parmesan.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 5–7 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with thyme and enjoy warm.
