Salmon & Avocado Tartar Stack

This Salmon & Avocado Tartar Stack is a no-cook dish made with sushi-grade salmon, herbed avocado, and microgreens. Elegant, healthy, and easy to prepare, it’s the perfect light lunch or appetizer when you want something beautiful and delicious.

Ingredients
  

Avocado Layer:
  • 1 large ripe avocado diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp chopped dill
  • 1 tsp chopped chives
  • Salt & pepper to taste
Salmon Layer:
  • 6 oz sushi-grade salmon finely diced
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp finely chopped shallot
  • Salt to taste
Optional Creamy Top:
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
Garnish:
  • Microgreens
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Chive blossoms optional

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix diced avocado with lemon juice, dill, chives, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine diced salmon with olive oil, lemon juice and zest, shallots, and salt. Chill briefly.
  3. (Optional) Mash avocado with Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
  4. Using a ring mold, layer the avocado mix, then salmon, then creamy avocado on top.
  5. Carefully lift the mold and garnish with microgreens, pepper, and chive blossoms if using. Serve immediately.
