Stracciatella, Prosciutto & Hot Honey Toast

This golden garlic toast is layered with creamy stracciatella, fresh basil, silky prosciutto, and finished with a sweet-spicy drizzle of hot honey. It’s savory, creamy, fresh, and slightly fiery—every bite a perfect contrast of textures and flavors.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove peeled
  • 1/2 cup stracciatella cheese or ricotta/cottage cheese
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • Handful of fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tsp hot honey store-bought or homemade

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Toast the sourdough slices for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy.
  2. While still warm, rub the toasted bread with the peeled garlic clove.
  3. Spoon stracciatella cheese over each slice and gently spread.
  4. Add fresh basil leaves on top of the cheese.
  5. Drape torn slices of prosciutto over the basil.
  6. Drizzle hot honey over everything, adjusting to taste.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy warm.
